The Selkirk

The Selkirk is a commercial repositioning concept for the former RBC building on Jasper Avenue in downtown Edmonton. Owned by Melcor, the project explored how an existing office tower and podium could be renewed through a stronger street presence, activated public realm, improved retail frontage, and a more generous relationship between the building and the city.

The design focused on the lower levels of the tower, where new architectural interventions, exterior plaza work, lighting, landscape, and interior public spaces were used to shift the building from a closed corporate address into a more open and active urban destination.
